Lead buyer terms
Version v1 — July 2026
These terms apply to every lead delivered by MN Hail Buddy (and other Buddy-network home-service sites) to a purchasing contractor ("buyer"). Acceptance is recorded before any lead is delivered. Questions: daniel.c.swenson@gmail.com.
- No reselling.Leads are for the buyer's own business use only. Reselling, sharing, or transferring lead data to any third party is prohibited.
- Consent scope must be honored.Every lead comes with a recorded consent event. An exclusive lead is contacted by one company: yours. If a lead's consent scope says one contractor, no affiliate, partner, or sister company contacts them.
- Outreach compliance is the buyer's responsibility. The buyer owns compliance with the TCPA, do-not-call rules, and all applicable contact laws in its outreach. We deliver documented consent; how you use it is on you.
- License and insurance stay current. Buyers must hold an active Minnesota contractor license and keep license, bond, and insurance information with us up to date. Enforcement actions may pause deliveries.
- Returns. Full credit is issued for leads with: a disconnected or fake phone number, a duplicate you already received from us, a property outside your agreed territory, a homeowner who already hired or retained another company before delivery, or a clearly wrong category. Return requests must be made within 5 business days of delivery.
- No refunds for "didn't close."A valid lead that doesn't become a job is not returnable. We sell consented, documented inspection requests — not guaranteed contracts.
- Return-rate cap. Accounts with a sustained return rate above roughly 15% may be throttled or paused while we review. This protects the honest buyers.
- Payment. Leads are paid via Stripe payment link or debited from a prepaid balance, per your standing arrangement. Unpaid balances pause delivery.
- Feedback postbacks. Buyers agree to report basic outcomes when asked (accepted, contacted, appointment set, sold job, bad lead, no contact). Outcome data improves routing for everyone and is required for premium tiers.
Homeowner-facing note: our lead forms tell consumers plainly that the service is free to them and that participating contractors pay to receive inspection requests. That disclosure is part of why these leads convert — don't undermine it. Back to the contractor page.
